About Jason

Jason has been an elder & the Teaching Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Peoria, IL since November 2012. Previous to coming to Peoria, Jason & his family resided in the metropolitan area of St. Louis where Jason served as an Associate Pastor of New Community Church from 2000-2012. Prior to his time in St. Louis, he was the Pastor of Student Ministries of Grace Bible Church in rural FL. Jason repented of his sins & trusted in Christ’s perfect life, death & resurrection as the only means to be reconciled to God at the age of 16. He & his wife Amber were married in 1997 & have three grown children who are all happily married, Jonah (Madelein), Karis (Trevor) & Aubrey (Tucker). Jason holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology and a Th.M. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jason also has the pleasure of writing for the MBTS resource For the Church and has written for the school’s theological journal as well. He holds a Master’s degree in Bible and Theology from Calvary Theological Seminary & a Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Student Ministries from Moody Bible Institute. Jason is an adjunct professor of Puebla Bible Seminary, an adjunct professor of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. He also serves as a fellow with The London Lyceum as well as serving on the editorial board for the organization’s journal Theologia Viatorum. He enjoys spending time and vacationing with his wife, reading and writing.
